Here is the equiptment I use
Tarr school double bass c.1860
I have owned this bass since 2020 and I have since had an extension installed by Ben Taylor. It's a beautiful bass and it's very comfortable to play due to it's small size. It has narrow ribs but it still makes a huge sound. I use this as my main double bass.
Hawkes Professor double bass c.1921
If you know about doulbe basses, you'll have heard of Hawkes. They mass produced instuments towards the end of the 19th Century and into the 20th Century to a very high standard. This is no exception - it has a massive, even sound and I've played it everywhere from Lattitude festival to the Royal Albert Hall!
Fender Precision 1962
Most consider pre-CBS Fender basses to be some of the best ever made. The way I came into possession of this one is pretty special - too long to write on here but if you ever see me playing it, please ask as I love to tell! This is a dream bass. Strung with LaBellas, obviously.
Fender Squier JV 1982 '62
This is one of my favourite P basses and probably the one I use the most! It is strung with roundwound strings and works for just about everything! It has so much bite to the sound but as soon as you roll the tone off, it become as sub monster!

I have a wide range of instruments for other sounds and applications - check them out here!
